What’s better than Fried Oreo’s, Fletcher’s Corny Dogs, and a picture with Big Tex? A chance to check out the 2017 Ford Raptor in person. The State Fair of Texas, an annual tradition in Dallas, TX since 1886 always features the latest and greatest trucks for Texas buyers. Raptor Magazine was there to check out the new 2017 Raptor. Ford brought three Raptors to the event, including a Avalanche Grey SuperCrew, a Black SuperCrew, and an Ingot Silver SuperCab. Unfortunately, as these vehicles were preproduction units, visitors to the fair are not allowed to enter the vehicles.
In the outdoor truck pavilion, Ford has a Avalanche Grey SuperCrew and a Black SuperCrew. The Avalanche Grey truck has the 802A package and the carbon fiber trim. Ford has setup a R/C Raptor race course, where participants can compete to win prizes. They were giving away T-Shirts, but unfortunately they were Super Duty shirts. Hey, can we get a Raptor shirt!
Inside, Ford is displaying a Ingot Silver SuperCab truck with the base wheels. They do have offer a Raptor race simulator which moved around on hydraulics. This years fair runs from September 30th to October 23rd, 2016, be sure to get out and see the trucks before it’s over.
